Power Supply for FG 22/35, designed for general sample charge neutralization of positively charged insulators or semiconductors.
It allows operation in the energy ranges of 0 - 10 eV and 0 - 500 eV for charge compensation in typical XPS/AES and SIMS experiments, respectively.
Electron Spectroscopy (PES) experiments, as well as secondary ion mass spectroscopy (SIMS) and Focussed Ion Beam (FIB) experiments often lead to positive sample charging for semiconducting and insulating samples. A controlled flow of low energy electrons from an electron source (also named flood gun) is a flexible way of neutralizing these charges.With the FG 500-A power supply the beam energy can be controlled from 0 - 500 eV. It is equipped with a remote control option. To achieve stable beam currents, the power supply automatically regulates the emission current.
