SQUID

SQUIDs, or superconducting quantum interference devices are very sensitive magnetic probes for small magentic fields. They are based on superconductors under the influence of magnetic field at low tempertures. A well-proven characterization method for adequate materials and structures is an LT-STM with high magnetic fields.
