IWOX-XIII
HYBRID mode13th International Workshop on
Oxide Surfaces, Phoenix Pyeongchang,
Republic of Korea & Virtual
It is our great honor to welcome you to attend the 13th International Workshop on Oxide Surfaces (IWOX-XIII), which will be held in Phoenix Ski Resort, Pyeongchang, Republic of Korea, from Jan. 9 to Jan. 14, 2022. Pyeongchang is a beautiful city where Winter Olympic 2018 was held.
International Workshop on Oxide Surfaces (IWOX) is the leading international forum for the presentation and discussion of cutting-edge basic research in the physics and chemistry of oxide surfaces. Since its inception in 1999, after the Les Houches oxide conference in France in 1997 ("IWOX-0"), IWOX workshops have been held every two years, rotating between the Americas, Europe, and Asia. For the last three Workshops, IWOX-X was held in China, IWOX-XI in Spain, and IWOX-XII in Lake Placid, US.
This meeting will bring together specialists in the field to present and discuss cutting-edge research on oxides, their surfaces, and interfaces. The scientific topics will include: supported oxide and metal clusters, adsorption and surface functionalization surfaces interacting with gases and liquids, two-dimensional materials and thin films, and energy conversion and storage applications. The program will include plenary, invited, and contributed talks, several poster sessions, and two afternoons with free format discussions in the comfort of the hotel or on the ski lifts at this beautiful location. Participation of students and postdocs is strongly encouraged.
I hope you will enjoy the fruitful and active discussion, the beauty of Pyeongchang, South Korea. We look forward to meeting you in Pyeongchang in January 2022.
