Screens

Following screens are available for RHEED imaging applications:

• Phosphor Imaging Screen Package 6"

RHEED Screen with flange mount suitable for NW100CF (6") flange. A phosphor coated lead glass disc, with ITO or Al undercoat to ensure good electrical conductivity and prevent charging. The lead safety glass is necessary to absorb the X-rays generated when the high energy electrons strike the screen. With mounting ring. 

• Imaging Screen Shutter 6"

Viewport shutter on NW100CF (6") flange to prevent coating of the RHEED screen during a deposition process. 

• Phosphor Imaging Screen Package 8"

RHEED Screen with flange mount suitable for NW150CF (8") flange. A phosphor coated lead glass disc, with ITO or Al undercoat to ensure good electrical conductivity and prevent charging. The lead safety glass is necessary to absorb the X-rays generated when the high energy electrons strike the screen.

• Imaging Screen Shutter 8"

Viewport shutter on NW150CF (8") flange to prevent coating of the RHEED screen during a deposition process. 

• Imaging screen set NAP

The special geometry of the screen flange, that extends far into the deposition chamber, reduces the disance between the sample and the phosphor screen, to reduce scattering of the electrons with gas molecules. This special screen is recommended for pressures above 5 x 10^-2 mbar. An integrated shutter protects the phosphor screen from deposition of material when the RHEED is not used.
